TEPCO admitted today that the plant is still releasing 10 million becquerels per hour to the atmosphere. This is in addition to all the initial and over time releases from the early phases of the disaster. TEPCO also claimed that the incident during unit 3′s demolition only released one trillion becquerels, much lower that the 4 trillion becquerels release estimate for the incident compiled by researchers at Kyoto University who found the releases in the first place.
