A week after the official start of 2014 Eastern Pacific hurricane season its first tropical depression was born southwest of Mexico. By May 23rd the system organized and strengthened into the first tropical storm of the season and was named “Amanda”. Over the next two days Amanda gained more strength and by May 25th it became category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 249 km/h (155 mph). On Saffir-Simpson Wind Hurricane Scale Amanda’s maximum sustained winds were on the top end of the category 4 hurricane. Tepco decided to sprinkle retained contaminated rainwater to the ground / 12,000,000 Bq/m3 of all β nuclide

Following up this article.. Still 3,600 tonnes of contaminated rainwater retained in the faulty designed reserver / “No place to go” [URL]

Having no storage capacity remaining, Tepco decided to sprinkle the contaminated rainwater to Fukushima plant area ground. It’s rainwater retained in the dams for contaminated water tanks. Due to the primal fallout and the continuous leakage, the dams are contaminated to turn rainwater to be contaminated water too.

Tepco states they purify the water by reverse osmosis membrane.

From Tepco’s data, the all β nuclide (including Strontium-90) density was 12,000,000 Bq/m3 in the “rainwater” retained in the dam, but they managed to decreased it to lower than 1,000 Bq/m3.

However, even if they sprinkle it to the ground, it becomes groundwater to flow into the plant buildings. Tepco has’t made any explanation about the countermeasure.
